Teen culture demands communication on many levels.  As an English teacher I am in a fortunate time and place to offer my students this connection to a future that requires their critical thinking, reading, and writing skills.

Literature is everywhere.  We read and interpret what we read, constantly.  Language has a diverse power this way, especially if we participate in it with an informed and open mind.  Writing and reading are tools for sophisticating language use and comprehension, and they can create a responsive conversation between students and the numerous impressions flowing in from a media-saturated culture.  Therefore, both reading and writing enrich one’s conversation with the many kinds of texts that surround us.

My Educational Background

AAEC South Mountain YEARBOOK

Yearbook is a diverse group of several highly creative and wonderful members from all grade levels, who will be involved in putting together this catalogue of our 2010-2011 year at AAEC.  We meet Mon.-Thurs. from              2:00-2:55pm in the computer lab at AAEC South Mountain’s Main Campus.

Last year’s yearbook had its cover designed by one of our students

and is one of the best editions our school has ever produced.

Thank you Yearbook Committee of 2009-2010!  You made the

difference!
